GOSA Lagos Branch Alumni Cooperative Society

Build wealth together.

A smarter, more transparent way for GOSA alumni to save, access responsible credit and create collective value.

How GOSA works

One simple cycle, run with discipline: liquidity before yield, and capital before growth.

  1. 01

    Save

Make regular contributions into your mandatory savings, and add voluntary savings whenever you can.

  2. 02

    Build member equity

Your share capital makes you a part-owner of the cooperative, with a voice in how it is run.

  3. 03

    Access responsible credit

Borrow against a proven savings record and real repayment capacity, at clearly stated prices.

  4. 04

    Grow together

Surplus is invested prudently and, once audited and approved, returned to members.

How we protect your money

Questions

Who can join?

Alumni of the GOSA Lagos Branch community who complete the membership application, including identity checks, and are approved by the cooperative.

Is my money safe?

Member funds are held in trust in a dedicated cooperative bank account. No single person can move money on their own, every action is recorded, and the accounts are independently audited each year.

How much can I borrow?

Borrowing is linked to your savings record, how long you've been a member, your repayment history and your ability to repay. The multipliers are risk controls, not automatic entitlements.

Do I need guarantors?

Yes. Loans normally need two fellow members in good standing to guarantee them. Guarantees support, but never replace, a proper assessment of your ability to repay.

Are returns guaranteed?

No. Any surplus is distributed only after the accounts are audited and the allocation is approved by members and the governing body.

What happens if I miss a repayment?

We'll remind you, then talk to you. We treat every member with dignity and confidentiality, and we never expose members publicly. Early conversation makes restructuring possible.
